Owzat!

Following one of our favourite shoots of the summer, we are very proud to have our work featured throughout the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club's wedding and conference website, and around the ground itself!

If you are planning your wedding and are a fan of the great game, we really can't recommend it highly enough.

Presenting Princess Sophie, 8 days old

Wishing a very warm welcome to the incredibly beautiful Sophie Birrell, born just under a month before proud parents Deb and Mark’s 2nd anniversary (their gorgeous wedding feels like it was only yesterday!).

Congratulations guys, looking forward to capturing the little lady as she grows!

The barefoot wedding photographer

At ICKOOTU we pride ourselves on being prepared for any eventuality, in fact it's become a standing joke that whatever you could possibly need in an emergency can be found in my 'back-up bag'.

Of course, you would always expect your photographer to have a back-up camera and spare lenses at a wedding, but my magic bag of just-in-case items has come to the rescue on many occasions - safety pins that have spared many a bride's modesty, mints for grooms panicking about pre-ceremony pub breath, plasters for killer-heel issues, tissues for emotional mums, spare confetti and even a sewing kit that has re-made an entire bridesmaids dress with seconds to spare to name just a few. All of that, and you can imagine my horror upon realising at last weekend's wedding that there was something I had never thought to include in my bag - spare shoes!

On the lovely walk from the pub with the boys to the pretty village Church on Saturday, one of my shoes broke on the way! I just have to send HUGE thanks to our bride's lovely aunty who saved me with the incredibly kind loan of her comfy evening flip flops to save my embarrassment through the ceremony! The reception onwards saw me working barefoot, so I am particularly thankful that this was a festival style wedding, so I fit right in!

I can't wait to tell you (and show you!) all about this wedding, it was absolutely bursting with the most beautiful details and ideas, an absolutely gorgeous and lovely couple, family and guests who made us feel like family too from the minute we arrived. We'll be back with all of that once the photographs are ready, but for now I just wanted to send my thanks to Anna's aunty - I don't know what I'd have done without you (apart from embarrassing myself further!). And Anna and Dan, it was such a joy to share your amazing day. Hope you are having a great time on your 'mini-moon' and we'll speak to you soon!

Lots of love,
Caroline, and the not so embarrassing Eleri

More little people...

another lovely day playing out in the sunshine on a top secret lifestyle family shoot for a lucky Grandma's surprise present - you only get to see this very cute swinging feet shot because we don't give the surprise away! x

Weddings at Trent Bridge

Oh the joy when you get to combine a commercial shoot with your 'happy place'... We had the best day shooting for Notts County Cricket Club for their wedding brochure - yes, you can get married there! Not only is it crammed with history, a-ma-zing views of the pitch from both your ceremony in the Long Room and from your reception, and has extremely talented chefs - it also has the most marvellous staff too. Fact. ICKOOTU 'hearts' NCCC, that's all there is to it.
